TV antique expert Eric Knowles could be unearthing some
priceless treasures in the North East this weekend.
The face of The Antiques Roadshow for 20 years and star of Put
your Money Where Your Mouth Is and Antiques Master will be at The Customs House
on Sunday.
Visitors are asked to bring down their heirlooms and treasures
to be valued before enjoying a witty and entertaining look at the world of
antiques.
Customs House executive director Ray Spencer said: “We can’t
wait to welcome Eric Knowles, he has been the face of The Antiques Roadshow for
20 years and is a terrific personality.
“He’s a funny guy, who has in-depth knowledge of antiques and a
flair for explaining and sharing this knowledge.
“It’ll be a great show and you never know we might just find a
priceless antique which has been tucked away in a loft or at the back of the
cupboard,”
The first part of the evening is
given over to anecdotal reminiscences, supported by images, he will then share some of the day’s ‘finds’ in the second half of
the show.

Eric Knowles is at The Customs House on Sunday 12th June 2016. Evaluations take place at 6.30pm for ticket holders and the show starts at 7.30pm.
