Newcastle
Panto Company presents:
Beauty & the Beast
Newcastle
Tyne Theatre & Opera House
Friday 2nd
– Friday 30th December 2016
After the huge success of Aladdin in 2015, Newcastle
Panto Company return to Tyne Theatre & Opera House in 2016 with the
enchanting fairytale Beauty & the Beast, guaranteeing festive fun for all
the family.
This will be the 14th consecutive year
at Tyne Theatre & Opera House for the much-loved pantomime company, whose
traditional approach to panto continues to delight people of all ages each
festive season.
A
record number of tickets were sold for Aladdin, which received fantastic
reviews from local press and customers alike. With the same team who brought
Aladdin to the stage presenting Beauty & the Beast, Christmas 2016 is
already looking like one to remember.
Maxie Peters, writer and
director of the panto said: "We
received overwhelming praise for our most recent production: everyone who saw
Aladdin agreed it was our best production to date. As a result, we are treating
our audiences to a brand new panto for December 2016 by producing Beauty &
the Beast for the first time ever.
Although this is a completely new story for us as
a production company, we can guarantee panto fans that we'll have the same fun,
laughs, and live music that has come to characterise our shows, including our
signature 12 Days of Christmas. We'll have familiar faces and some new
ones, so watch out for cast announcements coming up, but one thing you can be
sure of is that we'll be making sure there's entertainment this Christmas that
the whole family can enjoy.
Box office reports show that more than 5,000
tickets have already been sold in the first couple of days since Beauty &
The Beast went on general sale, so already it's shaping up to be a rather fun
and busy Christmas 2016!"
