Continuing
to book line-ups that most venues would charge £20 for, the September show has
a raft of international superstars all coming to the Customs House for a mere
£9.

Up first, Andy Askins!
In
demand all over the world and recently seen on BBC One’s John Bishop show,
Andy Askins has a style of comedy all of his own. Jason Cook explains “I’ve
never seen him do anything but blow the roof of any venue that he is playing
and I’ve worked with him for years. He’s the kind of comedian who can make a
joke from seemingly nothing and have people rolling in the aisles in mere
moments. A true gem.”

In the middle, Julian Lee!
If
you’re a fan of puns, then Julian Lee is your man. Jason Cook adds “I’ve seen
him three times already and knew we had to have him for one of the shows. He’s
got jokes that make me hurt laughing, and the Customs House audience are going
to love him to!”

And the headliner:
Tanyalee Sean Collins!
Jason
is really excited to bring him to South Shields “I’ve known him for
about 16 years and I would still put him in the top five comedians I have ever
seen. Ever.
Like
a Canadian Billy Connolly, his stories just drag you in and it’s no shock to me
that Sean plays all over the globe at the very highest level, British audiences
will have caught him ripping it up on Michael Mcintyre’s Comedy Roadshow.
This
is a personal favour I’ve pulled to manage to get him here and I’ve even
requested some of my favourite pieces of material and asked him to do them.
It’s going to be insane.”

And
of course, there will be ‘News From the
North’, our topical news show written FOR Geordies, ABOUT Geordies that can
probably only be understood BY Geordies.
All
of this for a mere nine pounds, for a line up that most comedy clubs would
charge twice that.
Once
again keeping to the club’s philosophy that by paying the best comedians in the
world to come here, and making it affordable for the audience, we can build the
best comedy club in the North.
