It

The Stars From The Commitments have hit the road to celebrate 25 years since
the Oscar-nominated movie was release and are stopping off at The Customs House

The
nine-piece soul band from Dublin, which features actual
cast members and musicians from the original Commitments film and soundtrack, have travelled the world and earned a list of
celebrity admirers.
Ken
McCluskey, who played bassist Derek Scully in the film, said: “Soul music has
become my life for well over 25 years. It has been a fantastic journey touring
the world and being part of such a great band.
“We get to
perform these great soul songs to so many people, and the music is still as
fresh and enjoyable now as it was when we first started touring so many years
ago.
“We are really looking forward to performing at The Customs House. It’s
going to be a great night, so we hope to see you there!”
Fans
of the band, which also includes original cast member Michael Aherne, who
played pianist Steven Clifford in the film, include Ghostbuster and Blues
Brothers star Dan Aykroyd, former US president George W Bush
and Wilson Pickett.
They
have also performed with soul legends such as BB King, Ben E King, James Brown
and Wilson Pickett, as well as contemporary artists such as The Black Eyed Peas
and Arrested Development.
The
night will include all the hits from the award-winning soundtrack including Mustang
