#JC4PM
Newcastle Tyne Theatre & Opera House
15th March 2016

Tyne Theatre & Opera House are thrilled to play host to the #JC4PM tour for its Newcastle date on Tuesday 15th March.

To show support for Jeremy Corbyn’s campaign to transform the way politics is conducted, some of the UK’s leading comedians, singers, poets, campaigners and politicians have come together for a series of entertaining, thought-provoking and invigorating shows across the country.

The idea for the tour came up following the successful 'Jeremy Corbyn Night' that took place in London in September. Several of the performers from that show were keen to maintain the momentum behind Jeremy's successful campaign to become Labour Party leader and decided to put together a tour of the country aimed at raising the morale of Jeremy's supporters.

On Tuesday 15 March, a stellar line up will be appearing at the prestigious Tyne Theatre & Opera House.

Hosted by Barbara Nice ('Phoenix Nights', 'Coronation Street', 'Max and Paddy's Road to Nowhere'), the night features:
Mark Steel, comedian ('The Mark Steel Lectures', 'The Mark Steel Lecture'), TV panelist ('Question Time', 'QI', Have I Got News for You', 'Mock the Week', 'Room 101'), radio panelist ('The News Quiz', 'Loose Ends'), author ('Reasons to be Cheerful'), regular columnist in 'The Independent'.

Jeremy Hardy, comedian (former 'Perrier Award' winner), actor ('Blackadder Goes Forth'), TV panelist ('QI', 'Mock the Week'), radio panelist ('The News Quiz', 'I'm sorry I Haven't a Clue', 'Jeremy Hardy Speaks to the Nation')

Patrick Monahan, comedian (winner of ITV's 'Show me the Funny', 'Comedy Annual', 'Celebrity Squares', 'Britain's Hardest Working Comedian 2015' Ents24.com)

Rob Deering, comedian ('Jason Manford's Comedy Rocks'), writer ('Out to Lunch'), TV host ('99 Things To Do Before You Die')

Grace Petrie, singer/songwriter (described by the Guardian as “a powerful new songwriting voice”). Has made several appearances on BBC4's 'The Now Show' and has recorded seven highly acclaimed albums.

Matt Abbott, poet (the voice behind the band Skint & Demoralised, co-founder of 'A Firm of Poets'), received rave reviews for his debut Edinburgh Festival show.

Clare Ferguson-Walker, poet (following successful Edinburgh show, touring with John Cooper-Clarke)

John Rees, national officer of the Stop the War Coalition, a spokesman for the People's Assembly Against Austerity, and founding member of Counterfire

Clive Lewis, MP for Norwich South, former infantry officer and BBC reporter. Shadow energy minister.

Richard Burgon, MP for Leeds East, former trade union lawyer. Shadow economic secretary to the treasury.

This evening will be a fantastic opportunity to show support for Jeremy and have a great night at the same time!
