Panto for Little Ones is a Big Success

Santa’s Naughty Elf and the Christmas Caper
South Shield’s Customs House
Until Thursday 24th December 2015

A fun festive show is entertaining more children than ever!
Every year The Customs House in South Shields presents a new Santa’s Naughty Elf tale for little theatre fans –and this year’s show has outsold any other just a week into the three-week run.

Lauren Amour, Sarah Boulter,
Steven Stobbs and Wayne Miller
Santa’s Naughty Elf and the Christmas Caper is the seventh in the series to be produced by the theatre and has sold more than 4,200 tickets, almost 1,000 more than last-year’s record breaking show.

Wayne Miller, who writes, directs and stars in the show, said: “When myself and Ray Spencer first got together to create a little panto for our younger audiences, we never dreamed it would build like it has. We started small with only a few shows and now we have a run of 42. It’s a great achievement for us! After many years writing, directing and performing in Santa's Naughty Elf, I still get a huge buzz of pride. Knowing this show is part of people’s yearly Christmas tradition is a truly lovely feeling."

After all his Christmas mishaps Elfluent has earned the name of Santa’s Naughty Elf. But what if there was a naughtier elf who wanted to end Christmas for good?

In Santa’s Naughty Elf & The Christmas Caper, Elfluent is in a race against time to make sure he can foil the naughtiest elf, get Santa on his way and save Christmas.

This year starring alongside Wayne is Sarah Boulter, who has become a regular face in the theatre’s children’s shows, Lauren Amour from the band Eliza Smiles, Steven Stobbs, who was recently seen in the premiere of The Cinder Path and the highly-praised Geordie the Musical star Eleanor Chaganis.
