SIGNED PERFORMANCES OF CINDERELLA

Cinderella
Darlington Civic Theatre
Saturday 12th December 2015.

Darlington Civic Theatre will hold special signed performances of their Christmas pantomime this week.

Two performances of Cinderella will be signed by British Sign Language interpreter Faye Alvi on Friday 11 December at 7pm and Saturday 12 December at 2pm for hearing impaired members of the audience.

Darlington Civic Theatre planned the first signed performance to coincide with National Panto Day, underlining their belief that theatre, and especially pantomime, is inclusive and can be enjoyed by everyone.

Cinderella opened on Saturday 5 December and is proving to be a great hit with audiences and reviewers alike – What’s On North East reported “If you want a fabulous evening packed with laughter that is guaranteed to start your run-up to Christmas then get yourself to Darlington Civic Theatre”.

Britain’s Got Talent winners Ashleigh & Pudsey star as Cinderella and her faithful four legged friend.

Joining them is Brendan Sheerin from Channel 4’s popular TV show Coach Trip as Baron Hardup, X-Factor finalist Niki Evans as the Fairy Godmother and children’s TV favourite Dooby Duck and Friends.

Magician, comedian and all-round entertainer Matt Edwards binds the whole production together in his zany performance as Buttons – he is adored by both the children and the adults in the audience. Add to this a whole cast of spectacular dancers, this production will be bursting at the seams with comedy, stunning sets and outrageous costumes and the most magical pantomime moment when Cinderella is transported to the Prince’s Ball with the help of a pumpkin and lots of Fairy Godmother magic.
