Whitley Bay Playhouse
Thursday 19th May 2016
Hilarious comedy Dirty Dusting returns to the Playhouse in May 2016, after the success of this year’s sell out show. There’s nothing like a feel-good comedy to put a smile on your face, and that’s exactly what Dirty Dusting is here to do, as Playhouse welcomes an all-star cast to the Playhouse stage, once more.
The outrageous but lovable Liverpudlian Crissy Rock (ITV’s Benidorm, I’m A Celebrity 2011) is at the helm, of the production alongside local girl Leah Bell and Dolores Poretta, actress of stage and screen. This stellar line up ensures Dirty Dusting is to be a night of heart-warming, feel-good comedy, yet again.
Written by award-winning North East playwrights Ed Waugh and Trevor Wood, Dirty Dusting follows the story of three cleaning ladies who decide to spice up their lives and embark on a new career by starting their own telephone sex line. Hilarity ensues for ‘The Telephone Belles’ as they get to grips with their new job and try to keep it a secret from their boss. Needless to say, things don’t quite go to plan – But can the ladies clean up their mess before it’s too late?
