Weekend Rockstars |
This grand finale will start with Weekend Rockstars. Performed by Hull based Middle Child Theatre,
this is the story of Terry’s week from hell told through theatre, film, original
songs and a live band on stage.
Terry's having a bad week. He's lost his job, his girlfriend and he's just killed his dealer's cat - but he’ll still be going out on Saturday night. But what happens when the world starts to fall away? What happens when our rocks start to fail us? What do we do when our stars don't guide us where we thought they would? Then, it's time to become Rockstars!
This electric and unapologetic tale of three young people living for the weekend is made in the North and proud of it. An energetic, funny and emotional new show.

Hyde and Beast |
Following the play, Sunderland’s very own Hyde and Beast take to the stage for a very special live
set. Formed by two drummers, Dave Hyde
of the Futureheads and Neil Bassett, formerly of The Golden Virgins. Their music is reminiscent of the rootsy late
60’s / early 70s summery sounds of California. This riff driven
psychedelic pop has a dreamy melancholic quality that has been compared to such
lofty luminaries as The Beatles, T-Rex and David Bowie.
