Make this Mother’s Day a Memorable One at the Whitley Bay Playhouse
Here is a round up of shows coming up at Whitley Bay’s
Playhouse. Perhaps there is a Mother’s Day treat amongst them?
On Friday
31st March, it’ll be time to ‘Twist Again’ with... Let’s Twist Again, a show that has entered its 6th
successful year of bringing great music of the highest standard to
theatres all over the UK.
This full company of critically acclaimed artistes and musicians deliver a
show that combines great music, fun and laughter with the greatest hits of Elvis,
Dusty, Lulu, The Beatles, Sandie Shaw, The Drifters, Frankie Valli, Cilla and
more, to ensure a brilliant night out is had by all! Tickets are priced at £20, £18 conc. Rule The World, a fantastic tribute show to Take That, will
perform at the PLAYHOUSE on Saturday the
1st of April. This is a vibrant and entertaining must-see for
all fans of Take That. You can expect to hear all your favourites, such as
‘Greatest Day’, ‘Back For Good’, ‘Million Love Songs’, ‘Patience’, ‘Relight My
Fire’, ‘Never Forget’, ‘Shine’, ‘Pray’, and many more. This is a night you'll

On Thursday
the 13th of April, Timeless Theatre Productions will be taking a
trip down Memory Lane.
This fast moving, roller coaster of a journey through some of the greatest
songs of the 50s, 60s and 70s, will be a show you are sure to remember! Tickets
cost £16, £14 conc. We have Whitney - Queen of the Night on Thursday the 20th of April. This stunning celebration of
the music and life of one of the greatest singers of our time is an award-winning
production featuring rising West End star Rebecca
Freckleton delivering a powerhouse and breathtaking performance as Whitney. The
show beautifully remembers the most highly awarded female artiste in the world
ever! Tickets: £24, £22 conc.

Be The Day on Friday
the 5th of May! After an incredible three decades of touring,
the UK’s No.1 Rock & Roll variety production returns with another
opportunity to see its latest most popular show! Featuring a sensational
line-up of classic gold hits, spanning the 50s right through to the 70s, mixed
as always, with even more hilarious comedy! Tickets: £24. ARRIVAL - The Hits of
ABBA will be at the PLAYHOUSE on Saturday
the 20th of May. This high energy show features the vast
catalogue of hits loved by many generations including ‘Mamma Mia’, ‘Dancing
Queen’, ‘Waterloo’, ‘Super Trouper’, ‘Voulez Vous’, and many more -
bringing to life the extraordinary songwriting talents of Benny and Bjorn.

On Thursday
the 28th of September, Les
McKeown’s Bay City Rollers return to the PLAYHOUSE. Les brings back the all
the thrill and excitement of Rollermania, performing all the
original hits, including ‘Bye Bye Baby’, ‘Shang-a-Lang’, ‘Remember’, ‘Summerlove
Sensation’ and ‘Give A Little Love’ plus many, many
more! The current Legendary Bay City Rollers bring a
new energy to all the classic hits. Tickets cost £22.50. Cheryl, Mike and Jay
formerly of Bucks Fizz will perform at the PLAYHOUSE on Friday the 29th of September.
The Song For Europe and Eurovision Song Contest 1981 winners sold in excess of
15 million records, spending 219 weeks in the UK
charts alone! Expect to hear favourites such as “My Camera Never Lies”, “Land Of Make Believe” and
of course, “Making Your Mind Up”! Tickets: £23.50.
