thirst for Summer; an exciting new collaboration between Gateshead Council and
Jesterval Comedy Festival.
Q Festival is coming to
Gateshead Quays, Baltic Square this summer……..come join in for fun Summer days
and long hot Summer nights with the very first Q Festival from Friday 14th July
– Sunday 6th August 2017.
A beautiful 1920s feel Spielgeltent
on Baltic Square
will play host to a vibrant and eclectic cultural programme of day time
activities and evening events for adults, children, businesses and families. They
will also have an indoor and outdoor bar, a lush beer garden open from midday every day for
those long Summer days and nights, foodie pop-ups serving yummy street food and
entertainment in the square.

Q festival is an exciting new collaboration between
Gateshead Council and Jesterval Comedy Festival sponsored by intu Eldon Square and intu Metrocentre. In addition to Jesterval’s 45 comedy events, Q
Festival will present a cracking cultural programme over 24 days for up to
15,000 people of all ages to enjoy this summer. The festival will include both
daytime activities from summer holiday children’s workshops from the likes of
Artventurers, a baby rave from Chalk and performance from The StoryTeller to
summer evening events with a bar for adults, immersive cinema with Screenage
Kicks, a Jumpin’ Hot Club gig, a Gin Festival weekender with Steampunk gin,
adult crafting evenings and The Culture Vulture will be running an 80s disco to
get your funk on.
