Comedians
aren't known for political correctness, but Geordie comic Gavin Webster's
feeling pretty tormented by it.
‘His
rants are wonderfully surreal’ The Herald
Following
his recent role in Ken Loach's award-winning film, I, Daniel Blake, Gavin's returning to stand-up and ready to
unleash his legendary ranting style on the North East and Scotland. This time,
however, he's having one big argument with himself.
Right-on
politics is the topic du jour and Gavin's still having trouble getting to grips
with it. As a 47 year old white male who started his career on a building site
in the mid 1980s after attending the comprehensive school with the lowest
attainment in the borough of Gateshead, he really doesn't realise how lucky and
privileged he is.
Audiences
can expect pertinent and vacuous points from both sides of the argument by a
man arguing with his inner self.
